The Third Day Radio Show for 04-07-2010-Synopsis #8: “The Two Witnesses-Part 2” with Sue Patterson and Randy Maugans
“Ephraim and Manasseh”
The prophetic scriptures often rely on communicating concepts at a symbolic, metaphoric, or allegorical level in order to connect key identifications. The two witnesses have remained enigmatic largely because most scholars were unaware of crucial blocks of data encoded in the living allegories of the people of the Hebrews.
This show begins one of the most dramatic turns in interpreting the last days events and actors, by reaching back into the early history of the tribes of Israel and connecting linkages and types to identify the spiritual roots of the two witnesses.

Gen 25:1; Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah.
Keturah is Strong’s #6989: pass part of #6999; “incense.” Stong’s #6999: a primitive root [identical with #7000 through the idea of fumigation in a close place and perhaps thus driving out the occupants]; v. to sacrifice, burn incense, burn sacrifices, make sacrifices smoke; to make sacrifices smoke; to sacrifice; to smoke a sacrifice; to make sacrifices smoke; to cause incense to smoke, offer incense; to make smoke upon; to be made to smoke.
After listening to ‘The Gog/Magog War’ and ‘The Two Witnesses’ shows from “The Third Day,” I just had to do a little investigating on my own. Ketura was Abraham’s wife after Sarah died. Her descendants are listed only at Genesis 25, and at 1 Chronicles 1. This is a ‘few’ mentions. Would this be a type of remnant; a type of 144,000? The only difference between the two is that at verse 6 of Genesis 25 it says:
But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts,
and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the
eastcountry.
Now at fist look, it got me scratching my head saying OK…why is that there? It was after learning about the metaphoric languages, that it made more sense. Ketura’s name as shown above from Strong’s can mean ‘incense, sacrifice,’ or ‘to make sacrifices smoke.’
Doesn’t that sound like what the 144,000 will be doing with the Multitude (sacrifices); getting them ready to smoke in the fire of the Tribulation? Also, ‘Abraham gave gifts.’ Would this be a foreshadowing of the gift of the Holy Spirit during Pentecost in Acts 2? Finally, when Abraham ‘sent them away from Isaac his son,’ would that be symbolic of the future Great Commission to the Disciples? I think so!
