“The Body and Sufferings of Christ”
” For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.”-Hebrews 2:10
The body of God, the house where God dwells cannot be a building made with stones, it has to be LIVING so that all the sensations of life may be experienced through this house. This house is the BODY of man, the beloved psalmist David asks this question in Psalm 8:4, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? Why would God’s mind be full of the thoughts of man?
We address the role played by the BODY in the experiencing of life. The pleasures of life are comprehended mentally but the pleasures, as well as the pains of life may only be experienced corporeally. This is true for God as well as for man. In short God who is life could not have the pleasure of experiencing that life without a body which is the reason why he made himself a body. Ultimately it is through the body that God himself was able to express his love which otherwise would forever have remained in the realm of the mind, something he only had theoretical knowledge of but had never actually experienced.
