Report on the Google Malware Blocks of Threshing Floor

If you are reading this, then you clicked through the WARNING screens from Google…you trusted us!

Threshing Floor has been the victim of  cyber-terrorism, wherein small websites are held hostage by LARGE CORPORATIONS which now control the internet. It seems that a malicious, off-shore hacker succeeded in embedding code into our WordPress system, which has resulted in link forwarding activity that could, in fact, be a vector for malware risks to unprotected computers. I APOLOGIZE  to anyone who may have suffered as result of this criminal activity.

FACT: our servers did not, at any time host any actual virus or malware bots, agents, or software. This was an exploit of weaknesess in the WordPress software we currently use for the site’s content.

FACT: Google acted in a heavy-handed manner and has “tagged” all websites related to Threshing Floor, including the very secure servers of our PodoMatic site, effectively shutting down traffic to our sites.

FACT: Google LIES! We were NEVER notified of any such detection of this infection by Google,  or any other authorities who have been given capacity to issue such warnings. As I posted on November 16 (Google and Facebook Browser Blocks to The Threshing Floor Sites):

Today, again, I received a report from a Facebook user that a blog post link from the Threshing Floor Facebook page was registering a virus infection on our site. I took the time to investigate, and discovered that Facebook is aliasing links on their website—or is acting as a vector for malware and URL hijacking of legitimate links which then trigger antivirus and malware detection, and forward to a warning page. Similarly, it appears that Google’s search engine—the most used search on the internet—is forwarding the valid links to Threshing Floor site to various other pages, thus eliminating viewers from finding us!

In that same article I also posted the Report on the safety and security of the Threshing Floor websites-11-12-2011-PDF (Click to download) – Report from independent web security firm, Apica Cloud Monitoring, which deployed multiple infection tests on our servers and declared them 100% compliant.

As of this report, our server admin is working very hard to ensure  the safety and stability of our hosting servers, We are taking every opportunity to upgrade the software and will try to close ANY AND ALL security holes in the architecture of our web engines. We understand that you have concerns. We understand that the web is a hostile environment for small operations such as ours. We also understand that Google and a few, select corporate entities have become the GODS OF THE INTERNET, with discretion to effectively shutdown those who are, themselves victims of the web protocols which they exploit for profit and control.

Pray for me, and for our admin, Dan…the Threshing Floor will return as soon as we have cleared the grounds of landmines. The war continues. -RandyMaugans

Google and Facebook Browser Blocks to The Threshing Floor Sites

I receive reports from time to time of people who cannot access our websites, or who report virus warnings and pop-up warnings when landing at an address they are led to believe is the Threshing Floor website or blog. I take all reports seriously, and run checks on our servers to ensure the viewers of these sites are not placed at risk (unlike the leadership at Penn State University!).

Today, again, I received a report from a Facebook user that a blog post link from the Threshing Floor Facebook page was registering a virus infection on our site. We are a small, listener supported website which provides valuable, but certainly controversial, information to the world…literally, the world. We cannot fight Google or Facebook. These two giants are using every device to OWN the internet, by controlling what you view for commercial gain. The internet was given to the world as free medium of expression…a global communications system for free speech. Now, the same evil corporate interests want to control the traffic, and eliminate the small pockets of truth which operate on the global web.

We operate legitimately: we buy servers, hosting space and bandwidth, and employ talent to create a pleasant viewer experience. We pay to maintain our URL names, and charge NOTHING for anyone who wishes to view our work. We also spend money and time to ensure our websites are maintained and free of viruses and malware, yet the “Big Boys” tag us as an “INFECTED” website…OR hijack a legitimate link via URL aliasing Facebook) to create an opportunity for antivirus vendors…OR, like Google, use their muscle as the web’s main search engine to point you to sites that deliver sexually explicit content.

What can you do?

Facebook: First, get OFF Facebook. It has been extensively documented that Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg was funded by CIA front companies. Second, Facebook has deliberately changed its interface on a regular basis to prevent YOU from understanding how all this exotic code operates. YOUR PRIVACY HAS BEEN SERIOUSLY COMPROMISED BY FACEBOOK, and your personal data is harvested for purposes of data mining for commercial and intelligence agency use.

If you can’t (and some of us are invested there) get off Facebook, then understand how things are: it’s THEIR universe and they are always angling to harvest data, sell stuff, and basically confuse the user into screwing up their life…”less is more”.

Facebook is a totally insecure environment BY DESIGN…constantly hacked, and infected with malicious code. This story appeared on Bloomberg, November 15, 2011 regarding explicit sexual content posted to user’s FB pages:

Google: any company that tells you they are not evil…is evil. It’s like FOX NEWS…”Fair and balanced. We report, You decide.” Bullshit! Google, in their corporate hive-mind, IS the internet. If you can’t leave ‘em, at least keep in mind that they have an agenda. Total domination. Use other search engines. Bookmarks-Every web browse has a feature for bookmarking (also called “Favorites”) frequently used websites. Use this feature to recall the URLs of your favorite sites and bypass the search engines. Search engines are tools for FINDING information…once you find the information, safeguard it by making a simple link back to the sites. Simple!

We do have choices. Technology makes us lazy…that mindset makes us slaves and victims of both the corporate predators and the greedy bottom-feeders who promote spam and pornography. Don’t blame the webmaster…he is doing his (or her) job—against an onslaught of digital garbage that threatens their websites’ survival. It;s YOUR web…take it back!
