“For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.” -Psalm 84:10
IN MEMORY OF DAVID HARMON
1957-2011
David William Harmon was born to Bill and Margaret Harmon in Tawas City, Michigan, September 21st, 1957. He attended numerous primary schools, due to his father’s airforce career, and graduated from SMSU in Springfield, MO. His degree was in economics and political philosophy. He was brilliant. He married Deidre Raye Powers in 1992 and their union was blessed with four children, two sons and two daughters.
David’s most important job, and the one dearest to his heart, was the headship of his household. He was a man of God and strove mightily to keep his family in God’s hands and walking in God’s light. He left this world of pain and toil March 7th, before the sun rose. Welcomed in God’s house, he will be sorely missed here.
In Tribute
We take this time to remember a friend and brother, David Harmon. David was the blogger at the Predicto Redux Blogspot, where he termed himself, with his usual modesty, as the “qintessential nobody.” He is remembered by us, who got to know him a bit, as an incisive mind and a relentless seeker of truth in Christ. Posted here is the show from February 2010 with David…I am sorry we didn’t get to do the follow up….we will have a lot to talk about ‘over there.’
-Randy Maugans, The Threshing Floor
David Harman was my friend. He was one of my best friends. I sought his advice, his wise counsel, several times. He had a rare combination of peerless discernment and precious kindness. He made me want to move to Missouri to be near him, such was the impression he made upon me. I never got to meet him in person, nor even see what he looked like. He is with Our Lord in Paradise now. He is beyond the pain. Lord grant that I meet him there, in Paradise, in person one day.
