17 Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more pure than his maker?

“Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more pure than his maker? Behold, he put no trust in his servants; and his angels he charged with folly:  How much less in them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, which are crushed before the moth?” -Job 4:17-19

(Don’t say I didn’t warn you!)
I don’t feel like talking. I have done almost seven years of talk shows on AM, shortwave, satellite, and the net…most of it is available somewhere. I feel like I open my mouth and the words fall on the deaf and the dead. A few of you “get it”…but, most only want to hear what they like, and what they like is more conformity.

GroupThink2What the bleeping masses of media-addicted, mentally limited listeners can’t grasp is that PEOPLE CHANGE…people grow…and growth is messy. You all keep looking for the sure thing, the thing that resonates with your own world-view, your own religious framework, your own static views of the “way things are”..,.and it is killing you.

I go to Facebook (God save us!), and find yet another cluster of religious droogies all slapping themselves on the back with THEIR (read” self) righteousness, over the poor people who are addicted to porn. People who, how shall I say this delicately…masturbate…self-gratification…OK…no pretty pictures here. So, God sends you to HELL for this…really?

On, and on it goes, piling on the verses of “script-cha” (out of context for the most part) about these horrible beastly people who experience temporary relief by vicarious methods…“…if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off…”—well, gosh folks, you’re cutting of the wrong thing! Well, we certainly would have a lot of new sopranos…Rigidly condemning, smiling in their Biblically cultured self-importance; cheering on the clueless poster (who wishes only to attract MORE of this mind hive for “friends”), they go away feeling SO much better about themselves…so this is…what? SPIRITUAL MASTURBATION…that’s right, you there Mr. Uptight Conservative, and you over there, Ms. Church Lady….no, no, I see you there, in the corner Miss Religious Prim Maiden…you all just had your little religious circle jerk right out in the open on Facebook….ahhh! Too bad you don’t smoke.

Sorry if this offends…it’s all I have left. I have never witnessed such un-lovingness, so little empathy for the fallen condition of humankind, so little regard for the true Spirit of the God, who so loved the world…LOVE…do any of you ever stop to contemplate LOVE? do you ever stop to ponder the PAIN of people on this planet—the utter BONDAGE which most human endure because of Satanic oppression. DO YOU EVER JUST STOP…and PRAY for people. Do you ever MINISTER to people in the Spirit?

Self-righteousness and phony piety precludes you from any intervention in the Spirit. A total lack of compassion and brokenness about these, these, the least of thy brethren…phony pride and public displays of your bogus religiosity show clearly the total condition of your own souls…and its name is PERDITION. This is the group think of internet Christianity…it is the mirror image of the so-called “church”…self-righteous, spiritually impotent, clattering among themselves with vain deceits while the lost fall in darkness…a darkness which they, themselves created—because they FAIL TO BE LIGHT….woe unto you!

  1. There’s a dynamic aspect to this. I think those of us that have been through this process get what is going on (physically and spiritually): it’s about preferring what is fake to what is real. And that is where the danger lies.

Paul said we need to grow the hell up, and put off the childish things. Spiritual masturbation is one of them. I remember posting on this once and getting thrashed by the church ladies. I got the T-shirt too.

But interestingly enough, this is part of the path, isn’t it? The church ladies, eager to judge with that beam in their eye, have forgotten that they, too, are following this path, getting joy from the fake dangerless utopia and thinking that is all there is. Some of us graduate to reality, others don’t. A blessing for some, and a cursing for others.

So we pray that they graduate before school is over.

It’s better to keep your spiritual eyes on where you’re going (and where you’ve been), and worry less about where you are (as long as you’re still moving). And all of us need to be reminded from time to time.

We’ve got to keep moving and growing in the Word and in the Spirit (both together, not one or the other). There is cause to worry when we are fixed and static, because none of us can reach perfection while we live in the flesh, and it is vanity to believe that we can. Or have.

Yeah, sometimes that path takes us down rabbit trails. But if the rabbit trail is part of the journey, then it just is. No sense fretting about it.

Unless you don’t want to leave. A rabbit trail is the safest path, because it goes in circles, and, like the Hotel California, you can never leave it. Without Jesus, that is.

    Regards,
    Steve
